The Enrollment Process

Ms. Hunter’s Precious Angels uses a meet and greet format with teachers for coordinating classes prior to the date of enrollment. Since a new environment can be a disconcerting or unsettling change for both parents and the children, we encourage these visits to help facilitate decision making. During the visit, parents and guardians share information about their child and this provides insight as to what is most important as the child moves into the new setting. We engage in positive rapport building, opportunities to share important information, such as current likes, dislikes, schedules, and strengths, as well as care and learning routines. Parents/guardians are given the opportunity to sign-up for the Parent Volunteer Group, as we encourage parental involvement in the center. We encourage parents/guardians to have a talk with their child about the transition to help prepare and allow for any questions or concerns.
