Teamwork and accountability is what makes Ms. Hunter’s Precious Angels Child Care center one of the best programs in Lorain County. We require on-going training opportunities to ensure we are always in compliance with licensing standards. Our mission at Ms. Hunter’s Precious Angels LLC is to provide exceptional childcare in a warm, loving environment which is welcoming and respectful of all cultures and diverse backgrounds.
Current Positions
The Floater reports to the Administrator or Assistant Administrator. The Floater provides the children with developmentally appropriate activities, provides a nurturing environment, and interacts with the children, their parents, staff members, and volunteers.
Examples of a Floater's skills and qualifications include:
-Making copies/print-outs
-Substituting for a teacher that has called in
-Filling in for bathroom breaks., lunch breaks, nap time, etc.
-Making sure we maintain ratio in all our classrooms and filling in if needed
-Helping transition classes to another area (i.e. outside)
-Cleaning, sanitizing, taking out the trash, and organizing
-Maintaining various checklists (i.e. cleaning and maintenance checklists)
-Opening and closing
-Resupplying classrooms and/or taking inventory of classroom supplies
-The Floater is responsible for:
-Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary
-Maintain classroom control and management
-Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence
-Must keep the Director and Assistant Director informed concerning staff members, children, and parental issues.
-Maintaining the Center’s policies and procedures
-Attend on-going training
-Assisting with any other work our staff may need help with
Floaters may be responsible for opening and closing the building as well. For this reason, it is especially important that you are comfortable interacting with the parents and students of Ms. Hunter’s Precious Angels. Some less common tasks of a Floater Teacher could include:
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
-You must be 18 years of age
-High School Diploma/GED (some positions do require degree/certification)
-Clear FBI Criminal Background Check
-Regular lifting of children up to 40 lbs.
-Sitting on the ground, stooping, being at "child-level"
-Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Flexibility to start the day at 8:00am or end the day at 6:00pm
Excitement for teaching young children!!
Preferred Qualifications
-An associate’s or bachelor's degree in the field of child development/ early childhood development
-Previous employment at childcare centers
-Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
Previous experience with customer service (i.e. retail or restaurant)
Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned.
Examples of Special Needs PreschoolTeacher skills and qualifications include:
